It is a technique refined in by the French hundreds of years ago. Some consider the sparkling wines of Tasmania better than France’s Champagne.
Stunning rugged wilderness
National Park covers 45% of Tasmania. There are a lot of good hiking areas in this region of the world. As well as great mountain biking tracks. One of the best spots for hiking is the Dove Lake Circuit in Cradle Mountain National Park. Another great hiking spot is the Wineglass Bay walk at Freycinet National Park. You can also check out the 6-day Overland Track. It runs from Cradle Mountain National Park to Lake St. Clair National Park. The 4-day Three Capes Track along Tasmania’s remote southern coast is also a must-visit for hikers.
The cute little devil
Tasmania is home to the cute little Tasmanian devil. It is a rare and endangered species that you can only find in this region of the world. It is a native Australian marsupial. It is no bigger than a small dog. You can visit Bonorong White Sanctuary to see a Tasmanian Devil up close. The sanctuary is open weekends and public holidays. The admission fee includes a free bag of kangaroo food. You might want to book one of their night-time experiences to see the Tasmanian Devils in action.
Tasmania is perfect for a road trip. You can complete it in 3 to 4 days. There is also the option to extend the road trip a few extra days. You can make the round trip back to Hobart via Cradle Mountain.
