Central Hong Kong was previously called Chung Wan. It is the heart of Hong Kong and today, it is the  city’s business center and a top shopping area. Aside from being the city’s central business district, there are lots of exciting and interesting things you can do while visiting.

Lan Kwai Fong is a vibrant party street. It is a vigorous restaurant and a hk bar street alluring tourists and locals to unwind and socialize. It is one of the most active and busiest areas in Hong Kong during holiday seasons like Christmas and New Year.

  1. Visit Hong Kong Zoological and Botanical Gardens

This garden is one of the oldest zoological and botanical parks in the world being found in 1860. It covers 5.6 hectares and is isolated into two parts. The eastern section is the habitat of the different kinds of birds, while Mammals and reptiles live in the western section. The park also has 900 species of foreign and local plants so it is the best place to visit to appreciate nature.

  1. Find nostalgic items at the Hong Kong Maritime Museum

Hong Kong Maritime Museum is situated in the core of the Central Harbor Waterfront. It is the spot to go to see a collection of historical objects showing the historical backdrop of trade and maritime in Hong Kong. There are about 1,000 display items in the museum.

  1. Enjoy shopping at IFC Mall (International Finance Centre Mall)

International Finance Centre Mall is the best place for shopaholics. The mall flaunts some of the high-end names in fashion. You can also watch a movie in its deluxe movie rooms, or have a meal with a fine selection of dishes.

  1. Visit the Stone Paved Pottinger Street

Central, filled with busy streets and shopping centers, still has a stone-paved street. Located in Queen’s Road Central, Pottinger Street is a mountainside road paved with stone slabs. In this street, let yourself experience an atmosphere of the local people’s authentic ways of life. The most ideal way to visit the street is to simply walk around and visit the shops on the road.
