Narcissistic Victim Syndrome is a syndrome which is a ramification of what is known as Narcissistic personality disorder (NPD). The people suffering this disorder experience a sudden change in behavior and it is abnormal in nature and the hosts of this disorder cause cruel exploitation of their victims that ruptures their psyche and gives birth to a syndrome known as Narcissistic Victim Syndrome.
What is Narcissistic Victim Syndrome?

The word syndrome is an amalgamation of two Greek words “syn” and “dramein” here syn means together and dramein means to run, so syndrome is defined as a matrix of symptoms and signs that runs together and are recognized when they cause mental, spiritual, physical and emotional abuse.
It is termed as victim syndrome because the victims are injured, harmed or killed due to the narcissistic abuse employed on them by the perpetrator which cause a harmful effect on the victims psyche and causes them to create another personality to defend them and they may or may not be aware of this personality. And this personality comes into action as a defense mechanism against any abuse or harm perceived by the individual and the victims are mostly close to the perpetrator they can be family members and even close friends that is why they have a sense of attachment to them.
Symptoms of Narcissistic Victim Syndrome:
There are various symptoms of the narcissistic victim syndromes which resembles to many other psychological syndromes but when these symptoms are added piece by piece they point to the possibility of narcissistic victim syndrome.
There are following symptoms such as sleep deprivation, lack of interest, dissociation, hopelessness, irritability, psychosomatic illness and suicidal tendencies. But the major symptom that demonstrate the existence of the syndrome is the tendency of the individual to defend its abuser and it sound a little tricky from a social point of view but it is reasonable from a psychological point of view and the victim also gets dissociated easily so that the reality can be evaded.
Narcissistic Victim Syndrome is a psychological syndrome whose ramifications are not physical in nature so they are invisible on the physical level. So the patients suffering from the syndrome should be dealt with patience and care. The victims should definitely consulate a psychiatrist because they have way more than knowledge and experience relating to syndrome than the victim. By consulting a psychiatrist the victim have a higher chance of overcoming from the syndrome.
